Eventbrite - Progressives for Innovation and Growth: A Transatlantic Conversation Progressives across the transatlantic community face a common political challenge: Capturing the high ground of economic innovation, productivity and growth. Ruling center-left coalitions in France and Italy, for example, are struggling to invigorate their economies by emphasizing digital innovation and new business creation.  In the recent UK election, Labour’s narrow focus on inequality failed to expand the party’s appeal beyond core partisans to aspirational voters in Middle England. The European experience has important implications for U.S. Democrats about the limits of populism as a formula for winning broad public support.

Please join the Progressive Policy Institute for a timely transatlantic conversation on the economic challenge facing center-left parties.
