Sloane Hurst serves as a senior advisor at PPI. Having raised more than $500 million for large and small non-profits, Sloane has successfully led fundraising teams, developed strategic plans, implemented campaigns and created infrastructure and policies for sustained financial success. With experience in annual fund, grant writing, major gifts, campaigns, and special events, Sloane is able to effectively and efficiently serve non-profits in a comprehensive, professional manner.
Prior to launching Hurst Strategies, Sloane served as the National Fundraising Director for the Democratic Leadership Council and Progressive Policy Institute, National Planned Giving Officer for the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as the Executive Director of the Arthritis Foundation of Southern Nevada.
Sloane is an active member and frequent speaker for the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She holds numerous volunteer board, committee and advisory positions, including After-School All-Stars and St Jude’s Heart of Fashion. Sloane graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.A. in Political Science and History and an M.P.A. in Non-profit Management. She lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with her husband, Nate Hurst and their son Warner.
