Thursday, March 23rd
8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2044
45 Independence Avenue Southwest
Washington, DC 20515

On Thursday, March 23rd at 8:30 a.m., join the Progressive Policy Institute’s Mosaic Project for a series of panels on health care, privacy, content moderation, and education.

Agenda:

8:30 – 9:15 a.m.: A Mosaic Moment

We’ll kick off the forum with coffee and conversation, and a chance to network with other forum program attendees. Mosaic Program Director Jasmine Stoughton will discuss how the Mosaic Project is changing the landscape for women in policy and highlight upcoming programming opportunities.

9:15 – 10:00 a.m.: Privacy in a Post-Roe World

Following the repeal of Roe, many state and local governments have since passed legislation that criminalizes abortion care. This panel, moderated by PPI’s Erin Delaney and Jordan Shapiro, will focus on the future of access to health care resources, the tech sector’s response to securing personal health care data, and what tools are currently available to consumers to protect their health and privacy.

10:15 – 11:00 a.m.: Content Moderation and Online Women’s Movements

PPI’s Malena Dailey will discuss how online platforms have helped women’s movements online and allowed for the sharing of stories and resources. The internet gives a voice to marginalized groups who have traditionally lacked the platform to be heard. The panel will highlight how the current regulatory regime around content moderation supports these efforts, as well as the ways in which it can be improved.

11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: The New Politics of Education

This panel, moderated by PPI’s Tressa Pankovits, will focus on how the political landscape around education and parents rights has evolved. Taking a look at how women are leading in the education space whether on school boards or in movements to foster more choice in education, this conversation will cover how this shifting landscape has been politicized and what elected officials and educators can do to ensure moms are heard while putting students first.
