What should be done to improve or remove the many outdated and duplicative federal regulations that are hurting U.S. economic competitiveness? PPI Economist Diana Carew will participated in an upcoming briefing on Capitol Hill titled Retrospective Review of Risk-Based Regulations to address this important issue. She will discuss her recent policy memo, co-written with Dr. Michael Mandel, that outlines the creation of an independent Regulatory Improvement Commission.
The panel titled Institutional Solutions will also include Mr. Philip Howard (Common Good) and Professor Ragnar Lofstedt (King’s College London), and will be moderated by the Honorable Marcus Peacock, former Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. The event is hosted by the George Washington University Regulatory Studies Center and the National Capital Area Chapter of the Society for Risk Analysis.
