It’s well-known that Europe has problems growing small companies into big ones. What’s less appreciated is that the U.S. has a similar problem. Compared to 20 years ago, young companies are much less likely to be major employers, according to PPI analysis of Census Bureau data.

Please join PPI and Allied for Startups for a discussion on the obstacles to small business growth, including the fact that entrepreneurs typically face more compliance and tax burdens as their businesses expand, and how targeted public policy efforts can change that.

Panelists:
Melissa Blaustein, Allied for Startups (moderator)
Michael Mandel, Progressive Policy Institute
Rachel Wolbers, Engine
Jill Nguyen, Ohmni Labs
Lenard Koschwitz, Allied for Startups
John Dearie, Center for American Entrepreneurship
