The Argentina App Economy

Apr 26, 2018 | 1:00 pm ET/10:00 am PT

All around the world we are seeing the rise of the App Economy—jobs, companies, and economic growth created by the production and distribution of mobile applications (“apps”) developed for smart-devices. Argentina has a rapidly growing number of app developers—these are the people who design and create the apps distributed domestically and internationally.

The Progressive Policy Institute (PPI), a Washington, D.C.-based think-tank, will travel to Buenos Aires Wednesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 26th to engage top government officials, business leaders, tech entrepreneurs, media and policy analysts in discussions about the growing contribution of digital innovation and mobile development to the country’s economy. PPI will unveil a new study measuring the Argentine App Economy as a source of growth and job creation. PPI’s goal is to highlight the potential future growth of the Argentine App Economy and learn more about government policies that foster digital innovation and the challenges entrepreneurs, startups, and companies face in growing and scaling their businesses in Argentina’s IT sector.

PPI & AreaTres cordially invite you to a cocktail reception on Wednesday, April 25th at 7pm at A3 El Salvador.
