Creating Opportunity for All with Early-College High Schools

  • March 10, 2021 - 6:00 pm ET

Join us on Wednesday, March 10th at 1 pm EST for a one-hour Zoom webinar on the impact and significance of high schools that provide students with opportunities to earn college credits or degrees. While college enrollment among low-income students has plunged during the pandemic, the high schools we will feature are helping students start college while still in high school, putting them on a much stronger path to a degree and/or a career.

Panelists will include:

  • Rashid Davis, founding Principal, P-TECH (Brooklyn, NY)
  • Kevin Teasley, Founder and President of GEO Academies, a network of seven charter schools (Gary & Indianapolis, IN, and Baton Rouge, LA)
  • Arianna Mayes, Student, 21st Century Charter School (Gary, IN)
  • Wil Del Pilar, The Education Trust’s expert on access to higher education for low-income students and students of color

Moderator: Curtis Valentine, Deputy Director of Reinventing America’s Schools Project.

Tune in to learn the keys to the success of P-Tech and GEO Academies, what they have learned, and their advice for other public schools and districts.

Save the date for our important conversation on Wednesday, March 10th at 1 pm EST.  Register for the event here.
