Before joining #BlackTechFutures Research Institute as its Project Manager, Ms. Dirl served as the Business Services Associate and Nashville Office Ambassador for Clarivate Analytics, a telehealth research company. While at Clarivate Analytics, Ms. Dirl planned and executed all office events, developed skills in Salesforce, provided office management, and served as executive assistant to senior leadership.
Since joining the #BlackTechFutures Research Institute team, Alexandria has project-managed events such as the 2022 Black Tech Policy Week and #BlackTechFutures’ Fall Regional Panels. Under her management, #BlackTechFutures Research Institute received a 2023 Webby Anthem Award for the 2023 Black Tech Policy Week. Her research skills have supported the development of #BlackTechFutures Research Institute’s new theory, “Critical Black Digital Infrastructure,” examining the role of Black-created local anchor institutions in building digital futures for Black people.
In addition to her professional accolades, she is a member of the newly formed group, Sistas in Digital Equity, working to support Black women leading national, state, and local broadband work and opportunities. Ms. Dirl received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
