Devika is a product strategy leader passionate about building bridges between tech and policy. She currently services as the Head of Market Development at Technology Transformation Services in the U.S. General Services Administration.
Devika started her government career as a product manager at 18F, an office of federal employees that helps other government agencies build, buy, and share technology products. Before taking on her current role she served as the first product manager from her organization to detail to a Congressional committee where she co-led the first engagement for the House Digital Services.
Devika’s interest in technology developed while organizing for Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign. Having been at the ground floor of the first “digital” campaign she was eager to explore other ways technology could be used for social change. This interest led her to Google, where she spent 7+ years across finance, strategy and business development. While at Google, Devika worked on some of Chrome’s earliest distribution deals, helped commercialize Google Glass, and drove product and market expansion for CSquared, a pan-African internet infrastructure project. As the regional business development lead, Devika had the opportunity to relocate to Kenya for 4 years, where she developed her passion for contemporary African art.
Devika received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan. She’s a Mayoral Appointee for DC’s Innovation and Technology Inclusion Council and a founding member of Chief, a network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders.
