Dr. Liz Wilke is a principal economist at Gusto, researching the state of work and business in the modern economy. She is a veteran of both the technology and government sectors, where she directed research programs and public spending that supports dynamic, resilient companies and workers across the globe.
Prior to joining Gusto, Liz worked at LinkedIn as the tech policy and future of work researcher. In this role, she led the public policy team’s engagement with the rest of the business on AI fairness policy and initiatives. She also managed the strategy and execution of LinkedIn’s global future of work agenda in coordination with the tech policy strategy and coordinates across data science, product, legal, and communications to bring data products and analyses to our global partners and government stakeholders.
Liz previously served as the director of economic analysis at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, where she led country-level economic analyses across cultural and geographically diverse teams to design and execute investments and governance reforms programs for equitable growth in middle- and low-income countries. In this role she also coordinated across divisions to build synergies among work streams and increase cross-pollination of best practices and ideas.
Liz holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil from the Pardee RAND Graduate School of Public Policy and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
