Jana Plat is the former Director of State and Local Outreach for the Progressive Policy Institute. Jana has served the University of California’s Environmental Leadership and Sustainability program in Washington, DC as an education liaison. Prior to moving to D.C., Jana worked for California State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara). Jana has extensive campaign experience ranging from fundraising, field organization, and communications. She has worked on numerous mayoral, congressional, and state campaigns in California.
Jana has her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, Channel Islands. Jana serves as California State University Alumni Council Representative and on the Advisory Committee for the California Association of Student Leaders state board.
