Liz Rotherham is a Communications and Public Affairs Fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute. She is a second-year student at the University of Virginia, majoring in Government with minors in Public Policy and Leadership, and Commerce.
At UVA, Liz was selected for the Global Research and Consulting Group and the Virginia Policy Lab, and appointed to the Honor Committee. She previously conducted research for the George Mason University Youth Research Council, publishing findings in two peer-reviewed journals on the impact of racism on the academic experiences of high school students in Northern Virginia. She also interned with an international nonprofit focused on mental health, supporting social media strategy and community engagement.
After graduation, Liz plans to attend law school and pursue a career at the intersection of law and public policy.
