With the average graduate carrying $30 thousand in debt and middle class parents depleting their retirement funds to pay for higher education, has the time come for radical reform? PPI Senior Fellow Paul Weinsten tells Guest host Barbara Bogaev on KCRW’s To the Point why a three-year degree programs would help rein in the soaring cost of a college education and the staggering levels of student loan debt.
