Ian O’Keefe is the Communications Director for the Progressive Policy Institute, leading the organization’s media strategy and communications efforts.
Before joining PPI, Ian was the Communications Director for U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer, where he was the primary spokesperson and managed all aspects of media relations. Ian’s previous roles include Deputy Communications Director for U.S. Representative Rick Larsen and Press Assistant on the Biden for President campaign.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington. At work, Ian is committed to advancing PPI’s mission of promoting innovative and pragmatic policy solutions. Outside work, Ian enjoys experiencing new cultures through travel, searching for good burritos, running on the National Mall, and spending time in the Evergreen State.
