Lisa Ly is a Social Policy Intern with the Progressive Policy Institute for the fall of 2021 and spring of 2022. She is currently a Master of Public Policy candidate at The George Washington University. Her research interest includes social and urban policies and how different policies shape the systems of social provision in the United States. Previously, Lisa received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she conducted and published her undergraduate honors thesis, which examined racial profiling of civilians in the practice of stop-and-frisk in New York City. Prior to working at PPI, Lisa interned for U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen and Representative Susie Lee (NV-03) and served on the 2020 Coordinated Campaign Committee for the Nevada State Democratic Party.
